“Agabus is raw, reckless, relentless and enticing.”
Brad Davis - Guitar slinger for Marty Stuart, David Lee Roth, Billy Bob Thornton and the Boxmasters, Earl Scruggs

“There’s something oddly fascinating about this bohemian hillbilly.”
Robert K. Oermann, Music Row Magazine

“A poet at heart.”
Nashville Lifestyle Magazine

“The voice of Agabus surely pulled and dumped me into a vat of originality so thick that I floated to the top like a stick of wood.  This is the kind of music that I listen to over and over again. Even after being involved with the production process. I find myself sneaking a listen in when the smoke has cleared and it's just me.  I realize that being a part of something this cool and creative will no doubt make a mark on the industry.   I can say I  was very proud to be involved with the creation of the project and will always feel the same joy when I hear it…again and again and again.”
Brad Davis, co-producer of It Ain’t Easy Being Me

“With Van Gogh's Other Ear, Agabus navigates a labyrinth of characters and personalities that include the whimsical, the clueless, the forlorn, the spiritual, the angry, the pitiful, and the most prevalent of all . . . the sublime. While obviously influenced by the poetic musings of Blake, Eliot, Ginsberg, and Bukowski, Agabus achieves undeniable success in developing and presenting a distinct, unique, poetic voice that is his and his alone. And frankly, that's probably for the best, since Agabus, at times, goes places that most of us spend a lifetime trying to avoid."

“Having been familiar with Agabus' songs I was not disappointed. This little book of poetry met my expectations of his courage and candor to talk about life as it is - at times dark, sad, full of despair, cold, merciless, lonely and cruel. Yet, in a quiet and subtle way Agabus also conveys a different message. He knows there is a different side to life, one that requires self-awareness, patience, tolerance, forgiveness and grace. He tells us that some of the pain and suffering is preventable though often inevitable. Agabus has been described as raw and relentless; I prefer to call him authentic. I found myself pondering his words for hours long after I had put down the book and memories of my own life somehow seemed more bearable. I highly recommend this book to anyone who desires to live life with awareness, honesty and consciousness. Those who rely on denial and self-deception as coping mechanisms had better buy something else."

"Went to see the talented Americana arteest, Agabus last night. Wow, what a show! The band was stellar too. Brent on lead guitar was great, with Dan on bass, and Pat on percussion. Renee Wahl was also lively and fun as the opener, Really enjoyed Agabus' version of The Cape and his self styled signature song, It Ain't Easy Being Me. We also got to sample some of his great new music like Far Cry From Here. His music, while unique and powerful in its own right, is reminiscent of greats like Ray Wylie Hubbard and Steve Wariner. I recommend to anyone to get to know Agabus better."

Bruce Davis

"Bukowski wrote about the things he loved and how they tormented him. Agabus writes about the things that torment him and how he loves them. Pure of heart but with caustic wit, he invites the reader to share his self-imposed loneliness."
